Seems run of the mill, albeit through a stream. I didn't detect much connection issues, though I watched in chunks of 5 minutes or so since I was at work. I was mostly looking at chat to see if anyone would sperg out.

I saw some people complain about connection issues, so it wasn't just me.
Must have been a small percentage.
I am curious about the numbers:
How many people registered for "badges" (dumb gimmick, really)?
How many viewers per stream?
How many visitations to the site?
It would help quantify if this "virtual convention" was a success or not.

I'm going to refuse to believe any of their numbers until we can cross reference other cons that have chosen to run online this year. I think SDCC is the highest profile to announce an online event and it would be no contest to compare.

I think as the year goes on we may see more events announce online cons.

Tbh as much as I'd like to be optimistic I think we're in this shit until the end of the year.

So, there was a feature that I thought was weird.
The chat was separated into the three categories:
Chat, Q&A, and Discord.
Why Funimation decided to give Discord users their own category is beyond me.

Anyways, I hope some numbers are put out so we can have something quantifiable.

There's a Discord?

Is it free? Cause if it is, then does Funi realize the gay-ops they're setting themselves for?

I would think they would try and contain this so NO one could ask ask a question or bring up there something about their "major successes" of late.
