I love how the fucking Ameee thread of all places is the thread where I discover how well-read some of you guys are :drink:

I admit, I absolutely love that aspect of this thread. You guys impress me with your literary knowledge and your sharp wit and how you weave that knowledge in your comments about Amy.

There are quite a few gifted writers on KF. Strawberry is such a brilliant writer and always amazes me with the ability to turn an unwatchable obnoxious woman's by content and spins it into literary gold.

All of this is so beautiful to see, especially since it is on a thread about an utter illiterate and colossal idiot.

There should be some way to identify these "home-schooling" parents who are not meeting the basic minimum requirements of even the most rudimentary education.

I have seen other barely-literates who insist on home-schooling, and you know right away there's no hope for the kids.

You are so right, the ferals don't stand a chance, and Amy admits that she is uneducated (but will never admit to being STOOPID). Even if she had she had the ability to school those kids, she doesn't take enough time, nor does she have any structure in their lives that would facilitate learning.

What a nin-cow-poop

It burns me up, honestly. ( not a PM but my background is working with exactly such kids.) The damage the dumbass parents do affects the kids in so many ways for the rest of their lives. Being in school was the only hope these kids had to gain an education , learn social skills, be taught to speak properly, etc.

Its sad ( and infuriating) to have to assess a child and realize that the child is very intellectually and socially stunted and to know that it is 100% the parents fault. Then add in that the parent just doesn't give a fuck and will continue to undermine all of the hard work that you do to fix their child.

A child who has a genuine learning disability with a medical cause has a better chance for success than children like this as long as the child has proper home training and a good parent to reinforce their child's learning and use a positive attitude about learning with their child. Amy is a 500 lb anchor that will forever hold those children back.

Their teachers also will have to deal with this blissfully ignorance behemoth. A normal teachers reaction to having to deal with this situation will be " oh fuck, not only do I have to teach this child but I will have to educate and train this idiot to do what normal people already know to do as parent concerning their child's education".

Early childhood is so crucial to a child's intellect, language and social skills. This is when their brains are still forming all of those crucial brain connections that lay the framework for their ability to learn for the rest of their lives. They are forming the pathways that will be used forever. Its so fucking crucial!!

Idiots like Amy are why pre-k, head start, etc were started. Teachers realized how horribly stunted many kids were by their neglectful environments and that the intervention needed to happen well before kindergarten because the kids were so deficient in even the basic social skills, behavior, interest in learning, speech, basic skills and knowledge, etc.

Believe me, when the teachers compile the list of children to promote them to the next grade. ( all children of each grade are put on a list which is used when all the teachers of the next grade meet to properly distribute the kids among the teachers). Factors like their grades in subjects like reading and math, behavior and parental issues are all considered.

Say there are 3 teachers... They have the list and take turns picking kids for their class. The good kids go fast while the problem kids need more discussion and even negotiations. Things like " you take the feral Ramadan kid and I will take the nose picking klepto with the crackhead mom". Negotiations can get intense the further they go down the list. Believe me, Amy's baybees will be on the bottom of that list.

I wish this could be included in the subtitle of her thread. Don’t have kids if you’re not prepared to do even the most basic shit to prepare them for life without you someday, asshole. It actually makes me even more disgusted by Awlie, who should have known better than to think this monster could ever mother a child adequately — let alone two or three. These people should be executed for their kids’ sakes.

I have never heard of this (and I don't doubt you whatsoever, I'm just fascinated!) but is it a common practice? If so, it would explain so much about my elementary school years...

Amy claims to be a homeschooler because she imagines it beatifies and sanctifies her in the way the story of the brave, selfless adoptive single mother did. Both of these stories are complete fictions betrayed by a false idol's own words and actions.

The child is not adopted at all, and is in fact in a precarious legal status created by a fat imbecile with mere guardianship she shares with the child's uncle. The other child, truly her progeny, cannot count at the age of six.

Many homeschoolers do so in a sort of secrecy withholding that fact from anyone outside of family, because there is stigma attached to it brought about by religious fundamentalists, "unschoolers", and slovenly dunces like Amy.

It might surprise some people that many homeschoolers are none of those stereotypes.

There's only one couple I knew who homeschooled their kids for several years. They attended Back to School Night, and the hippie dippy teacher said eh, do you really need grades?

They went home and started preparing that night. The kids went to official high school later, graduated college and are now gainfully employed.

I do wonder what those kids are doing this summer. Watching their mother craft? Will they even see the sun? How is Ali cosigning on to this version of childhood? So many questions!

according to this website for oregon homeschoolers, they have to take a standardized test at the end of specific grades. If the child is below the 15th percentile, they must retest the following year. If they fall behind percentile-wise in that time the kids are put in public school against the will of the parent. The exception is if you get a special education plan made with experts who are specialized in whatever is wrong with your spawn, they have to achieve those goals adequately instead of the test. In that case you have to bother to get your kid diagnosed with a disability and get an educational specialist to make a plan with the diagnosis and specific kid in mind, it is costly. Being a shitty parent isn't a childs disability so it takes some serious effort to convincingly fake anything, kids are terrible at acting, and virtually anyone you contact for an educational plan of this sort is going to be a mandated reporter anyway.

Most states have a similar law, some are far stricter, a few let you do whatever you want. The ones that let you do whatever you want usually have some kind of practical reason for it, like having a shitload of FLDS families on heavily armed compounds that no one wants to investigate. that type of shit.

I have no idea how any of this works in blue states like oregon where a bunch of kids are a full year behind in school because teachers unions insisted on being shut down for covid and parents either worked all the time or didn't care.

What Amy means by homeschooling is, she shoves them in front of the computer for distance learning and wakes them up 20 minutes before it starts. By her own admission, she even fails at that and Omar misses "classes" sometimes.

One of the most hilarious lies Amy's ever told was saying that Omar and Esraa were in the gifted program.

-Omar and Esraa are scholastic champions

-Esraa is doeeng kinnygarden but is not enrolled in skool

-AMY IS WORKING REALLY HARD!!!!

They are doing the Edge program

-IT IS FOR GIFTED KIDS
From this recap.

Even in stricter states, scammers like Amy are able to homeschool the kids without ever getting them tested officially by the state, to make sure they are meeting the standards. Plus, pre-k is not required most places, and in California I think kindergarten also not required (but not sure of Oregon). She will probably find a way to keep them out of school for as long as possible. Jeremiah was also missing school to babysit the kids, and it was somehow allowed. The little kids will likely be diagnosed with disabilities if they ever see the light of a classroom.

Allowed is maybe not the word I would use. I seem to recall her one day having a migraine, and pulling Miah out of school that day to help her run errands. The teacher was TOTALLY understanding, and said to her "It's ok, Amy, we get it" after hearing her recount a very sad tale of her needing a slave, as opposed to, you know, that child learning.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that convo never happened this way, or at all. 1) schools are very into attendance; sometimes funding is tied to it , 2) this was NOT the first time, and it's the worst excuse ever, 3) schools generally don't ask for a reason for absence. Unless, of course, the kid is frequently absent, in which case schools will NOT be sympathetic to your personal slave needs. Amy is the reason we have laws about school attendance.

I'm going to guess it was tolerated, barely, and the teachers were too busy with everything else to get on this one kid. Of course, there was that incident with the CPS interview and the sneakers, so maybe he was being watched closely. The pandemic's timing has been such a boon for Amy!

If the ferals wind up in a classroom, it won't be for long. Expulsion or removal, within days or even hours.

Late last year when schools were beginning to allow students back two days a week, Amy dismissed that option for Jeremiah because it wouldn't be worth the effort for her. She also related the anger and depression his isolation caused. Not for you to feel pity for him. Heavens no. It was so you could be awed by her forbearance.

Unlike The Baybees, he at least at times gets to escape the shit pit to see his uncle. I suspect that his bio family aren't many degrees better than Amy as they saw fit to remand an actual baby to her care.

I want to belatedly jump on the name and avatar trend, because my name is the title of a Song and I like to share it because it's a fun song about adorable lesbians but in a "haha just kidding we live in south korea and you can't just say that shit yet" kinda way.

And my avatar is this picture

Some homeschoolers who actually give a crap even get lots of different homeschooling households together a couple times per week for kids to do PE together and to discuss various subjects and learn to interact with other kids. School is about more than ‘the three R’s.’ Can you imagine Amee trying to join up with a home schooling group? That might be enough to make even the most dedicated homeschooler rethink their position.

I’m often curious about other users names, and sometimes the choice seems perfectly suited to them. So much so in some cases that I have to remind myself that I’m not actually engaging with that avatar. (Maybe that’s just me. )

I lurked for ages, and took note of avatars of members I really liked. Dutch Courage’s Clumsy Carp, from BC was a firm favourite. Dutchie always hits it out of the park.

I’ve never used Suzuki as an alias, and as near as I can tell, neither has anyone else. She’s the littlest beatnik, the beatnik Eloise. There was even a tv pilot produced starring Victor Borge that sank without trace. The book was once popular, barely missed being wildly popular, and then became obscure.
