That is honestly one of the strangest reasons I have ever heard, that people move. The other way round is not that uncommon. But parents leaving their social network (the real life one) and surrounding to be closer to their child because they couldn't see eachother for two years.... What?!

Maybe it's an American thing, I don't know. I just know if I would try to pull on the heart strings of Mum Honey Badger with such an idea, she would tell me to kindly go fuck myself with this dumbfuck idea.

Either we witness an enabling saga or J's parents, horrified by her massive deterioration, try to get her away from Corissa, and sold it as the big, fat, happy family reunion. Time will tell I guess.
She’s an only child and was in foster care; her mom and step dad may be trying to make up that time that she was away from the family in care (anyone know the details?)

Additionally they realize, even if that can’t say so for fear of offending Julianna, that their daughter is very unhealthy. They may see this as their last chance to help her while she’s still relatively young.

Or a last chance to see her out of the two J seems to have more health issues lately. And when ya own daughter is posting publicly how she has stopped wiping herself if there isnt a bidet since she can't reach thats gotta be a red alarm toa parent.

Juli's parents are poor, so it makes sense for them to move from expensive Massachusetts to low cost Kansas.
Juli likes to bag on rich people, brag about growing up po' for street cred.
Her parents needed $$ help from Juli for the moving costs.

I'm sure Coco didn't scrimp & suffer too much and still gets her 3-5 packages of plastic shit weekly.

I hope they (rightfully) judge the fuck out of Corissa, and her work-shy, wasteful and slovenly ways, along with all the bullshit she speaks. Imagine if your adult child's partner 'made a living' selling 8x 'fat bitch' t shirts and cried every time she had to cut vegetables (as an excuse for eating 8,000 cals a day of snack food) and yet didn't get help for this issue?
Any rational person must just look at Corissa and think what the eff is this useless person

Just wondering if her parents ever look at their blob of a daughter and think "What the hell happened...?". I feel bad for them.
Iirc, there's no need to feel bad for them. J became obese at a young age under their care (or lack thereof). The foster family that took J in for a while attempted to help J lose weight, but J spiraled from being separated from her negligent family (and relying on nonexistent coping skills) and kept gaining. J still mostly blames the foster family, not her own warped family dynamic, for her multitude of issues. That's what happened.

It's possible that J's family has gotten their shit together over the last 20 years, but it's also possible that J's parents are dysfunctional leeches or losers who think a change of scenery will magically improve their lives. Even though MA can be expensive, there are definitely practical reasons for people in their late fifties to stay and retire there, e.g., MassHealth.

This sounds like a disaster waiting to happen for so many reasons.

I don't think Juli's parents are moving IN with Juli & Corissa, I think they are just moving to Lawrence KS. Moving IN is the Asian way, and corrissa would never allow it. "Not enough room" in their house or some such excuse.
Yeah, I can't imagine them actually moving in with Corissa and J.

But whatever their new housing situation may be, here's hoping they have a second bedroom. Once it becomes obvious J's lost too much mobility and ability to care for herself day-to-day, or she's no longer able to work, Corissa's giving her the boot--and she'll need somewhere to go.

Hahahaha
I'm not going to take 'self care' advice from a super morbidly obese person, whose disability is visibly self inflicted. It's like 'accessibility, travel and self care, from ms X!' *accompanying pic of woman with meth sores, shooting up*.
We've crossed the Rubicon. And the thing is that these FAs are uniquely uncancellable, because no one takes them seriously in the first place, so there's no accepted substance from the start. If you notice, in the history of fat activism, there's never been one criticised in the mainstream- they just slowly fade away, shoved away, if they get too grotesque looking for the movement (eg Ragen Chastain's gf). This is also why Tess Holliday can get away with everything (bar a potential leak of feeder porn that will freak people out), because no one takes her actually seriously. They're treated like make a wish kids playing moddle for the day, and it gets mags all the asspats for 'helping mental health'.

Again, fkn lol at self care tips from J. Most people wouldn't even have a use for her accessibility friendly bidet recommendations, which is one of her areas of 'self care' expertise.

All I can think about with these two joyless blobs is how they would be a firefighter's worst nightmare.

Imagine this: You're 18 hours into a 24 hour shift, and so far, it's been dull- just a couple medical assists for ODs and a false alarm. Then, the tones go off, and it's finally some action.

Engine 1, Truck 1, Battalion Chief 1, Ambo 3: Structure fire.

You get your bunker gear on, boot up, and hop in the seat for a lights and sirens ride to the scene- a house with an overgrown lawn full of weeds and dog turds, and smoke pouring out of the windows. You're with the truck company, so it's your job to search and ventilate while the engine company grabs the hydrant and stretches hose.

You put on your SCBA and helmet, the chauffeur throws the truck's aerial ladder. Halligan bar in hand, you bust through the 2nd floor window. Through the increasingly thick smoke, you see a 600+ lb blob lying on the floor, having tumbled out of the huge, reinforced bed.

The shock and horror hit you. There's no way you can lift her. The truck's aerial is only rated for 500lb, and even with a 1.25:1 safety factor (eg. to be rated for 500lb. the ladder can take 650lb), she probably weighs that much alone. The room could flash over any minute, and the second-due units are at least 7-8 minutes out.

What do you do then?

Seems though none of these are for more then about 450 lbs....

Save the dogs. They're the only ones worth saving anyway.

Essentially, while 1 firefighter can move a 200lb person, 300lb requires two FFs, and even then, they would struggle to move an immobile victim more than about 10ft without webbing and pike poles to make a sling for them.

To move a 600lb person, since these things don't scale in a linear manner, let's call it 6-8 FFs just to move J. You'd also need a rescue Squad/USAR company with the tarps, grabs, ropes and slings to have the equipment necessary. Then, you have to cut the window to be able to get her out. If there's no window present, you're cutting into the frame to get her out.

Then, you need a heavy-duty (1000lb+ tip load) tower ladder/boom truck/snorkel, or two aerials, at least one of which is equipped with a winch, to lower her down in the sling, without either the sling or ladders breaking. You'll also need to prop the opening, have a ground spotter, the chauffeurs working the aerial ladders and the winch, and the chief coordinating it all.

That's about 5-6 rigs (2 ladders, the squad, the chief's buggy, a bariatric-capable ambulance, and additional truck and engine companies for manpower, because the ones you have still need to fight the fire!), 15+ firefighters, EMTs and officers, and no shortage of time to be able to do it all in.

Save the dogs.

So in short, we learned that firefighters are fatphobic. Because they don't have this - most likely pretty expensive- specialised bariatric tech gear and manpower ready at hand, when they head out to save lives and expect people to be in the normal to even morbidly obese range. Sooo fatphobic.

And imagine the faces of the firefighters when they figure out that they don't have to deal with one but TWO super morbidly obese deathfats.

Save the dogs.

If corissa made it out alive she'd sue them for calling her obese and wouldn't give a shit if J died in the fire. And a fire would mean the chance to buy more consoomer crap, home decor is her passion

I definitely find the fact that she considers herself a travel blogger funniest of all considering the chances of her traveling outside of North America are slim to none.
She struggled to go to a Kelly Clarkson concert in, what, Wichita or somewhere relatively near Lawrence, lmao. This travel delusion shows how much she lies to herself about her condition and abilities. "Mind over matter" can be put to use for self-destruction as well as self-improvement, I guess.

"When I told my parents I was leaving Massachusetts and moving to Kansas back in 2018, I told them “don’t worry, I can fly back all the time to visit.” But then the worst happened. I missed a year of visits. And then the ‘rona had us all staying put for another year.

I thought I was up to speed on these dollops, but what is "the worst" to wipe out a year even before Covid hit?
