Genuine query. I hear alot about glorious canadian healthcare. Are the canadian taxpayers paying for Yaniv to flash his scrotum at medical practioners?

Sadly, yes we are. It is just another way that JY monopolizes resources that are allocated for the good of the entire nation all for himself, in a completely wasteful manner. It's one of the biggest reasons I hate the bastard so much, even more then his grifting and pedophelia.

You just know with yaniv that the Canadian taxpayers $$$ will not stop with just the op. How long before he starts whining about needing 24/7 "specialist" care like no other, how he's more disabled than ever etc. Plus if the Babylon/Telus healthcare docs feel he's a pain in the arse now imagine what their workload is going to be like after the op.

The actual op is just the beginning if he goes ahead with it.

Since health care is a provincial responsibility, more specifically it's British Columbia taxpayers, also British Columbia specifically pays for any and all transition-related things and has done so since at least the 1990s (NDP far left Government back then, too). Not all provinces do. Canadian taxpayers would pay for it in general only insofar as British Columbia gets any "transfer payments" (from "have" provinces like Alberta to "have not" provinces like Newfoundland, Quebec - which SHOULD be a HAVE province, and British Columbia currently is but not always is, depending on how badly the provincial government fucked up).

Federal government pays a lot through Canada Health Transfer, a block grant.

Are there any wealthy people in Canada? If so, why? Wouldn't they rather come inside from the cold once they hit the big time?
Rather than simply rating me dumb unclit my friend (and I am always happy to take my beat-down like a man) perhaps you can answer my question?

It is not intended as snark, but as a sincere question.

It -is- a dumb question, bro. It's something I shouldn't even have to explain. Of course there are rich people in Canada, no nation especially not one of the G8 richest nations in the world could arise without them. There are proprtionally more multi-millionaires per capita in Canada then the U.S. Many have dealings in both countries at the same time. There is nothing 'more big time' about the USA. Economically, Canada is playing in the same league.

Well--ok--but why would anyone stay in Canada if they had the resources to move somewhere beneath the arctic circle? Let me put it a different way---what is the appeal?

You've never travelled outside of your own hometown in your life, have you? I cannot think of any other reason for being so ignorant.

What's the appeal? Its one of the most beautiful places in the world to live, has an incredible wealth of natural resources, some of the most productive farmland in the world, a net exporter we make so much food. Canada has a gigantic industrial base that during WW2 was so promptly converted to wartime production by 1944 we had the world's 2nd largest navy. It's far more advanced now. Canadian robotics are in demand world wide, we also supply the medical isotopes required for nuclear medicine to most of the world, including the USA. Canada has the best healthcare system in the world. Paying for troonouts aside, at least you won't go $20k in debt if you break your leg. We have some of the greatest research institutes in the world, one of the very highest standards of living, and most of all, unlike what you seem to think, we do NOT live in subarctic conditions! There are huge swaths of the US that get just as cold if not colder in the winter then the populated areas of Canada. Where I live here in Greater Vancouver, we're lucky if we see 3 snowfalls in a winter.

ffs please at least read the damn wikipedia article on Canada or watch a Youtube video if that's asking too much.

what's the appeal....🙄

Calm down and learn how to take a joke, eh? And remember -- in the words of the late great Jack Palance--CONFIDENCE is very sexy. Sperging in defense of your native land like a short guy called out on his height--less so.

I've lived in a dozen different cities in the Unites States--The biggest on both coasts, the two most beautiful IMHO in the United States (both in CA--also briefly in Beverly Hills yes 90210), also what is in my opinion the single most dire city in the US (right across from the border in Texas), FLA, and NM and traveled to several Asian countries from the cleanest to the filthiest on earth as well as to Europe. Spent my 3-18 years i a literal trailer park in whitetrashville which was part of how I learned how to distinguish up from down (you've got to have your points of reference).

Was born in Alaska but remember nothing about it.

Anyway calm down and learn how to take a joke, eh? And remember -- in the words of the late great Jack Palance--CONFIDENCE is very sexy. Sperging in defense of your native land like a short guy called out on his height--less so.
Bro, none of what you typed read in any way like a joke.

Remember, text is terrible at delivering context. If you really mean a statement like
Are there any wealthy people in Canada? If so, why? Wouldn't they rather come inside from the cold once they hit the big time?
to be taken as a joke rather then a backhand slur, try adding a winky face or some other gesture that indicates you are joking. My response would have been entirely different.

I'm glad you had the opportunity to travel around the world like that, I'm honestly jealous.

Where JY is, the weather is mild and the scenery incredibly beautiful. The people are easy-going and nice. Things are nice in Canada. One of the reasons that JY gets away with so much is that Canadians are just nice people who mind their own business. It's a great place to be a harmless eccentric. It's clean. The schooling is very cheap. The crime is very low. There's less of a persistent underclass than there is in a lot of the US. Things are generally less politicized -- there's a general liberal mushbrained-ness, but politics is kind of a minority interest for people, like soccer. Not like Portland or SF where things are on fire half the time. Almost all Canadians live stone's throw distance to the US if you want to go there to shop.

Canadians are unfortunately uniquely ill-prepared to deal with aggressive sociopaths of the JY type.

I read some stats that said something like 80% of Canadians live within 100 mi of the US border. I spent a summer in BC in the mid 70's. Like everything else...it's probably no where near what I remember now.
