We need someone to post the full story.
10 years ago was 2011, it doesn't seem to match the timeline. He was maybe 24 at the time, and the pictures where he's drunk with a laptop and scissors are more recent afaik. In fact looking at Jaclyn Moore, it can be kinda fast to alter their appearance to an average troon appearance, 1-2 years is more than enough. I would wager Billy started his transition in 2014 at the latest.

"Auvergnois" are people from Auvergne, in the middle of France. Gaspesie is the middle of nowhere as he said, there are lots of beaches but from my experience it would have been very hard to find someone to fuck on a beach where there isn't anyone, they're all empty, and most tourist spots/beaches are full of families, a gangbang would have ended in jail. Also, Gaspesie is VERY homophobic. Less so in recent years, or so I've heard, but it's mostly old boomers who are disgusted by homosexuality. Billy Boy would have been looked at the wrong way.

My bet is that it's fake, I've never understood the reasoning behind making shit up and tell stories they know are false, but I know a lot of people tend to do it.

Without having read the actual story, I can't tell if he tells which beach it is. But my guess would be: He went to Boom Defense, which is a nude beach somewhat near Gaspé, and the Auvergne dudes were sexual deviants who hung out there. It was a match made in heaven.
Come to think of it, I don't think he was even living as Genevieve in 2011; he was still Guillaume.

A word of warning guys; this is bait so tread carefully.
Labelle's MO is to goad people into speculating about a trans persons genitals and then use it as "proof" that the haters are all pervs and pedos who want to know whats in a trans persons pants. Labelle does this A LOT but usually people don't take the bait and it turns into a one sided strawman convo.

That out of the way, I do want to address for the newer viewers why we don't have confirmation of Labelle's GRS Journey despite the fact that telling such a tale is a very easy way for trans authors/creators to draw in an audience and keep their attention;
The answer is very simple, and available with one click.

But SpaceAce, aren't most surgical procedures covered in Canada?
You are correct!
But SpaceAce, this doesn't specifically say its for GRS.
You are correct!
But SpaceAce, this doesn't align with any of the new or the old stories Labelle has told.
You are correct!

And that is the crux of the scam; keep it a vague 'surgery' but hint its GRS by talking A LOT about being trans and brave, shutting down anyone who questions it by saying its private and your genitals are none of their business (despite needing their money for it) and call them a chaser for even asking (or a transphobe, or a bigot, pick your fave)
And if it works then there's always a chance you can do it allll again. I mean why not? Maybe next time it really WILL be for the chop!

And this is why no one knows, and the rumours of rejection by doctors really started. It was speculated this fundraiser was actually originally made for bottom GRS but when Labelle got told No by doctors it became a vacation fund instead.
I'm a tad more cynical and think it was always a scam with the intention of running it several times but enough people called Labelle out on the inconsistancies that it was easier to just take the 12k and never talk about it again.

+++

As a side note for Pro-Labelle readers (because apparently there are still some that come here), please read this article about the prominent GRS surgeons denouncing puberty blockers as incredibly harmful with long lasting negative effects, ESPECIALLY for those that continue with their transition.

While he does explicitly mention bottom surgery in his story this time, that doesn't make everything you said any less true, you are correct it is bait. But it's the first time afaik he explicitly talked about having had sexual reassignment. Not that we can verify. Or want to.

Anyways, for the other things... I went back and checked, there is hardly anything to be found pre 2013 about him. His BebePigeon blog started in 2013.

There is this article from 2012 that we already knew about where he got kicked out of Yukon as Genevieve: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nort...yukon-school-cancelled-presentation-1.1272579

Someone remind me, was the picture where Sophie is getting beat up by cops from the 2012 Spring Student Protests in Montreal? He had long hair there afaik.

The photo comes from an article from April 7th, 2015
https://www.journaldemontreal.com/2...provoque-de-linquietude-chez-les-transsexuels
Non-mixed demonstration causes concern among transgender people

A protransgender group has asked the organizers of a feminist protest against austerity and forbidden to men, which takes place Tuesday evening from 8:45 pm, to let transgender people demonstrate with them: “The appearance does not necessarily correspond to the gender identity or experience, and you have to be careful before excluding someone, ”we can read on the Anarchopanda Facebook page for free education.

Organizers of the feminist group Hyènes en jupons [Hyenas in Petticoats] deny men access to the protest. "Because in mixed feminist events, there are men who do not understand their role as ally."

“Cisgender” men were not welcome, the event's Facebook page read, but the organizers said their event was “trans-inclusive” nonetheless.

"Let us demonstrate between feminists in a non-mixed way to denounce patriarchal austerity, sexist, transphobic, homophobic, colonialist and racist government measures, the culture of rape and our daily oppressions", we can read.

At around 10:30 p.m., around 300 people were taking part in the march, 95% of whom were women, and it was declared illegal by the SPVM. The Journal could not confirm the gender of the remaining 5%.

Trans: Don't talk about us without us!

Montreal, April 8, 2015

On April 7 in the evening, the Journal de Montreal published an article about the damn big non-mixed feminist evening demonstration organized by the Hyènes en Jupons, a feminist group. The article was titled: "Non-mixed protest causes concern among transgender people."

Let us immediately rectify a gross error peddled by the Journal de Montreal about the context of the holding of the trans contingent within the demonstration: the call to demonstrate Hyenas in Petticoats immediately announced a trans-inclusive event. If there may have been concerns on the part of trans people about the exact forms of this inclusion, it is totally inappropriate to instrumentalize them.

The formation of a trans contingent in a feminist demonstration, mixed or non-mixed, helps to give visibility to trans claims, often obscured in society, especially by the media who prefer sensationalist stories about our transitions. This tactic helps to recognize a diversity of experiences and bring to public attention the unique way sexism and austerity policies affect trans people.

The idea "My body, my choice!" Is suitable for both feminist and trans struggles and allows us to come together around common issues. It should be remembered that trans communities in Quebec are still waiting for the implementation of Law 35, which must remove the surgical prerequisites for obtaining a change of sex designation in the civil registry. In the meantime, trans people continue to face many forms of violence and discrimination. The very recent Bill 20 only adds to this by reducing access to parenthood and abortion. precious trans and feminist solidarity around common issues.

The article published by the Journal de Montreal broadly demonstrates the adoption of an uninformed and insensitive perspective on trans issues. The adoption and dissemination of this kind of perspective is an obstacle to our struggles. The Journal, for example, uses terms which are completely unknown to us and which do not represent us, such as “protransgender group” while placing in quotation marks words whose value and relevance we collectively recognize, as if to suspend their validity. Note also that the title, in addition to conveying a fallacious idea about the event in question, favors the use of the term "transsexual", which does not achieve consensus in our communities. Currently, we prefer the term “trans”, which is considered more inclusive of the diversity of trans peoples' backgrounds and experiences.

The Journal de Montréal's adoption of a cisgender perspective is not, however, limited to the lexicon used in the article. What do we mean when we say that "The Journal could not confirm the gender of the remaining 5%. "? This question assumes that one can determine the gender of individuals by observing them, which is false, condescending and disrespectful. The expression of this cisgender perspective is also part of the choice of sources cited in the article. While we appreciate Anarchopanda's solidarity interventions, it would have been more appropriate and relevant to put forward the voice of trans activists in our struggles.

The Journal de Montréal article provokes anger and indignation in our communities to the extent that it proposes a crass instrumentalization of trans struggles and existences to attack a non-mixed and trans-inclusive feminist event. In addition, it takes a cisgender and non-feminist look at the feminist and trans struggles from which we refer.

The next time the Journal de Montréal wishes to write about a trans issue, it will need to educate itself more carefully and fully consider a trans point of view. When people talk about us, without us, it's fucking trash.

Supportive and angry trans activists

There is another article about a student protest on April 9th 2015

A frustration felt by Sophie Labelle, student and trans activist involved in the current student movement.

“In general, there is a bias in favor of police forces and repression. For example, in the coverage that there was of the occupation [of the J.-A. DeSève pavilion at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) on Wednesday evening], it was only the vandalism that been covered, without talking about the causes of the occupation, she judges. This is what we experience from day to day, and it is normal that there is a certain bitterness that has developed towards journalists. "

There is a post where he said he took part of the 2012 protest

Wow, thank you both.

That's VERY interesting. In @SpaceAce's image, Billy clearly states the picture is from 2012 (unless there is another one?) but the one I was thinking about really is from 2015, the one that @Rubberchickenchu posted. Sophie doesn't have his facts straights (as we all knew).

So, prior to 2012, there are afaik indeed no pic/info on Labelle. And the article about Yukon states that he was starting to transition in November 2012 - the strike was in the previous spring - and was still called Mr Guillaume. The 2012 strikes probably triggered something inside him that contributed to make him an activist.

The beach sex story is still probably bullshit, but I could see it being true if particular conditions were met, though it's very unlikely. If it happened, he probably actively sought out a dogging spot, probably near Gaspé. Probably during summer 2013. Clearly he wasn't operated on before 2013, if he ever was.

Guess we'll know if someone leaks it.

Otherwise, this bill, the fact of no longer considering the genitals as being an indicator of the sex of the person according to the forensic criteria that are socially accepted, means that, as a society, we have already made the choice ... we voted on this bill, we chose to recognize that I, as a trans person, notwithstanding my external genitalia, because it is rare that we will talk about internal genitalia, I will be recognized as a woman. And there are obviously the modalities that come after. We obviously talk about letters from experts as if, for example, I could not be the expert on my own identity, and we must hire professionals to be the experts in our place.

And so, as a society, we recognize that I am a woman. This bill is a step forward for that recognition. And, if we understand the body as belonging to the people who inhabit it, my faith, well, if my body belongs to me and I am a woman in the eyes, necessarily, of the law, since they are not my organs genitals which will determine it, well, my body is therefore a girl's body, a woman's body, and that was very important to consider for the next step. That is to say that, if we consider that it is no longer physical prerogatives that determine the sex of individuals, we can move forward in the kind of proposals that have already been made since the start of the hearings, since this morning.

Myself, having transitioned at around 13 years old, I lived and I also went through all that. We are also talking about troubles ... We were talking about the toilets earlier. I had to see a urologist when I was nine, because it was impossible for me to have access to safe toilets at school. And, in high school, it was violent - I'll spare you the details - but there was blood in the locker room. And the fact of wanting to force us in certain places, precisely according to the marker that there is on our papers, is completely absurd, especially in the case of children in school where is the mere presence of a substitute or a substitute in the class is going to come and possibly destroy the whole quality of a child's life, since children who decide not to be public about the fact that these children are trans ... well, their documents at school, their school records, given the closure of the Ministry of Education to change the sex references for minors, will continue to have the gender marker, also the old names if the name has not been changed.
