Good choices.

South America as a whole has great bands.

One thing I like about the genre, it's pretty universal so its always fun hearing other cultures takes on it and adding their own flair like Sepultura and Angra adding brazilian rhythm sections in some songs.

Even before the tribal stuff (more or less a gimmick), you know Brazilian death/black metal from the 80s when you hear it. Even the way bands just put basic riffs together had unique regional flavors.

Tangentially, apparently Napalm Death's Harmony Corruption was one of the most heavily bootlegged and traded albums in the Indonesian metal scene back in the 90s, which means 9 out of 10 Indonesian death metal bands are gonna sound a lot like... you guessed it, 90s Napalm Death. Kinda neat how random middling releases are considered super classic in some parts of the world just because of quirks in distribution.

Some bands/songs ill suggest that I dont see mentioned much

Pallbearer - Devoid of Redemption

High on Fire - The Black Plot OR Snakes for the Divine.

ASG - Gallop Song

Sign Of the Southern Cross - Purge

Khemmis - Above the Water

These are all Doom/Sludge/Groove/Thrash. Have fun.

one of my favourite albums right now. some pretty good bm tbh. I love the album cover too.

Great black metal album, but his acoustic singer songwriter tracks are even better. Masterful use of wind chimes.

I heard the president is a fan too, but not enough to pardon some Britbongs caught with heroin up their asses.

This might be too big to display ITT, but here's an updated chart.
This list seems a little wonky. I love black magick SS but I never thought of them as metal. Are the standards for the list just really broad or am I just retarded? Will definitely be checking some of it out though.

Anyway, you should all listen to Tomb Mold, their music makes me cum.

I recently discovered that there are many youtube channels in which the owners just post tons of metal albums. I've found some new albums I've never heard of that I ended up really liking. Here's the channels I've found so far:

Stoned Meadow of Doom: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCknVpWR6m2Ijzkqo-aPXs_g
Doom/Sludge/Stoner Metal and Psychadelic Rock for the most part. A lot of new music released recently. I've found a cool instrumental psychadelic album here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKhVs16HQiI

The Metal Archives: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrZpxK6xzLBed5BbCW60aDw
Thrash/Death/Classic Metal generally. Has mostly older stuff like from the 80s forward. I like this channel because I'm a thrash metal guy primarily, though I do enjoy any good metal album no matter the genre (generally). A couple cool albums I found from them are "Hating Life", an album by Grave https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hv3T8S8YjAY
and "Ear Piercing Thrash" by Bio-Cancer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECn6IaQatRg

And who could forget Atmospheric Black Metal Albums: https://www.youtube.com/c/AtmosphericBlackMetalAlbumsOfficial
I think the reader can figure out what these guys are about.

I like these channels because I can just see a neat looking/sounding album, click it, and start listening within seconds. No need to scroll through Sputnik or Rate Your Music looking for new albums to try out. It's very quick to find a new album. Maybe some of the more hardcore guys here have listened to a lot of this music already, I'm not sure. I like metal a lot but I would consider myself to be a bit of a casual, so much of this work is new to me.

Was gonna call you an edgi cunt for starting this... But then I realized regardless if there is one or not this might be useful 'cause I'm tired of hearing the same shit every day and want to hear something new in the genre. So good job OP
