The Frontlines of the Weeb Wars (aka the TL;DR Edition)

The Social Media Front
- In the midst of the firestorm that has engulfed the United States (as well as other countries like Canada and Britain) in the wake of the death of George Floyd, many industries and figures have made statements in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and began looking inward on how to "improve" relations with the American black community. Among the list of people includes a Twitter user by the handle @Proz (Professor Bald Nerd) (not to be confused with ProZD):
Professional Bald Nerd - Proz.PNG

The protected tweet was screencapped and shared with the rest of KickVic's notable Twitter supporters like Jennifer Lynn Hunt.
However, Nick Rekieta released a video regarding the subject and revealed that a source came forward and told Nick that this particular person, identified as the owner of the San Japan convention, Dave Henkin, was part of a Facebook group that convention owners gathered and discussed "how to improve conventions":

The source also revealed that Dave Henkin was the one who made sure the other members did not invite Vic Mignogna with the threat of being kicked from the group and ostracized.
Other members of this group include Faisal Ahmed, who made an affidavit in support of Monica Rial and Ron Toye (courtesy of @Animegate19):

UPDATE: Dave Henkin, owner of San Japan, has stepped down along with Emma Glover and her cosplay staff (courtesy of @Nontransferable):
San Japan announced that the person who made those tweets, Dave Henkin, has stepped down as chairman of the convention.

Emma Glover, a cosplay director at San Japan, reportedly resigned from their event, along with her staff. She said she was frequently de-prioritized, belittled, or ignored and Dave Henkin's comments were the final straw.

Jinnie McManus, the founder of We Run Anime Cons Facebook group he was an admin of, gave him some words of encouragement.

Jinnie also wrote an affidavit for Ron and Monica and was interviewed for the Japan Times article. She had her own #MeToo allegation come out a year later (#JinnieGate2020). Beau Dufrene reportedly turned down her sexual advances and she retaliated by restricting his access to the convention's guests as a member of the press. He would later state that she belonged in jail because she was a criminal.

One anonymous person claimed to have heard rumors about convention swinger type parties/group sex. They said that some of the hearsay if true would land Jinnie in prison.

The Convention Front
- ABC Houston-affiliate, ABC-13, reported that "the conventions that were scheduled to be at the [George R. Brown] convention center will be canceled until next year with the exception of the Texas GOP's in-person convention":
This implies Anime Matsuri as well.

(Special thanks to @Nontransferable)
UPDATE (07/09/2020): Denice Leigh, one of co-owners of Anime Matsuri, announced that Anime Matsuri has been postponed until next year (Courtsey of @theworstkindofeurofag):
Anime Matsuri has been postponed to next year. We already knew this, but here's their official statement.

It sucks because I know Vic was looking forward to meeting his fans. There were some girls on his Instagram livestream who said they'd travel to Anime Matsuri to see him. Poor fans, poor Vic.

With all the Wu-Flu closing majority of the conventions, they can’t prevent Vic from going if their is no where to go.

The Convention Front
- As noted by @Not A Bug, Cowtown Comic Con features Vic Mignogna as a guest:

The Social Media Front
- Voice Actor David Trosko, best known for his work as Present Mic in Funimation's dub of My Hero Academia from Season 2 to the present (the character was previously voiced by Sonny Strait), faced some backlash on Twitter for his joke relating to China and the COVID-19 Pandemic:

Another Funimation VA is facing The Cancelling™ right now: David Trosko. He was in My Hero Academia, Black Clover and Tokyo Ghoul, according to his twitter profile (which he has locked, probably due to harrassment).

View attachment 1486085

His crime? Nothing metoo related this time. It's the fact that he made harmless jokes about China's involvement in the coof crisis, him being christian and his support for Trump (and being conservative in general) that got some people very angry. They got even angrier when he refused to apologize.

Here's a long thread by an angry sped. There are more posts, but this thread sums it all up quite well.

After watching Dave's tiktoks, I think he seems genuinely sweet.

Some more tweets. They want him to lose his job. They're tweeting directly at Funimation (and posting about him in unrelated tweets by Funimation).

It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds from here. I don't think Funimation would be dumb enough to make a public post about Dave, accusing him of racism and cutting all ties. Not after what happened with Vic. On the other hand, if there's one thing I learned during Weeb Wars, it's that Funimation will absolutely do insanely dumb shit and throw the majority of their viewerbase under the bus if it appeases a tiny percentage of woke crybullies. I also wonder if we'll see other Funimation actors throw Dave under the bus like they did with Vic.

Anyway, I wish Dave the best. We might want to keep a close eye on this. Also on Dave's roles. Will he get replaced?

Much like what happened to Vic Mignogna, these Twitter users began tagging in Funimation to bring attention to the situation.
The situation will be monitored to see if Funimation responds.

The Convention Front
- Vic Mignogna is scheduled to be a guest for Savannah Collectifest on September 12th:

The Social Media Front
- @Ron Toye revealed the details of the failed mediation that was ordered by Judge Chupp (Courtesy of @Son of Sparda 84):

This could be brought up as a breach (Courtesy of @AnOminous):
Sec. 154.073. CONFIDENTIALITY OF CERTAIN RECORDS AND COMMUNICATIONS. (a) Except as provided by Subsections (c), (d), (e), and (f), a communication relating to the subject matter of any civil or criminal dispute made by a participant in an alternative dispute resolution procedure, whether before or after the institution of formal judicial proceedings, is confidential, is not subject to disclosure, and may not be used as evidence against the participant in any judicial or administrative proceeding.

Additionally, Ron claimed he will be releasing audio of the phone call he had with Chris Slatosch (Courtesy of @Nontransferable):
Ron said that he is about to drop the audio of the recorded phone conversation with Chris Slatosch.

- Tammi Denbow (the SONY Human Resources Investigator who questioned Vic Mignogna in January 2019 prior to his termination with Funimation) has not been with SONY since January of 2020, according to her LinkedIn account (Courtesy of @cwcvillemayoress):

- Evan Stone, Legal Counsel in charge of Content Protection for FUNimation for over two years, has not held that position since May 2020 (courtesy of @Panera Bread):

Whether or not Stone was let go due to the COVID-19 outbreak remains to be seen.

- T. Greg Doucette claimed he was sent fan mail (courtesy of @Nontransferable):

However, upon further investigation by @FluffyTet and @Animegate19, its possible that Doucette took an old envelope and claimed it was new:
Postcode at the bottom is from 27701.
Which is.....Durham, NC.

He literally sent himself fan mail.

Wew.

edit: I noticed the IMB barcode is there, so I decoded it.

Code: 9400922161246410248227701371711
Tracking: 9400 9221 6124 6410 2482 27
Barcode ID: 94 (A USPS-applied pIMb)
Service Type ID: 009
Mailer ID: 0
Serial: 0
ZIP: 27701-3717
Delivery Point: 11
Mail Class: Empty
Services:
- Empty
- Empty

Interesting things in here: service type 009 does not exist in USPS's system. (https://postalpro.usps.com/address-quality/ACS/AppendixA_STID_Details)
The identifier at the beginning is 94, which means that this label was created by a PC Postage vendor, like one of those "stamps.com" at home postage machines. (info from archives of https://ribbs.usps.gov/intelligentmail_package/documents/tech_guides/IMPBServiceTypeCode.pdf and https://ribbs.usps.gov/intelligentmail_package/documents/tech_guides/BarcodePackageIMSpec.pdf )
The tracking ID has no information.
This particular piece of mail has never been through the United States postal system.

It is my opinion that Doucette created this, ran it through his own postage machine, and took a picture to post onto twitter, in order to try to convince his followers that he gets fan mail.

Which is really, really fucking sad.
My autism was tingling on this. I confirmed everything you posted.

View attachment 1588248

I found a reference to 009 being standard mail.
View attachment 1588275

As far as the tracking number not being in the system, if it has been more than 120 days, standard mail tracking is purged.
View attachment 1588281

The tracking number would be for where the mail is going to, so Durham would be correct.

My theory, since he posted this yesterday and said he "got this in today's mail" he his obvious lying. Notice that the letter has what looks like a piece of paper cut out for the address label.
View attachment 1588287
You can even see a shadow under the upper left corner of the mailing label.

I think he just took an old piece of mail and put this address on it. This is why isn't showing up in the tracking for USPS, because it has been more than 120 days.
From what I have read, that seems to be on Intelligent Mail package barcode (IMpb) and doesn't seem to be on IMB.
View attachment 1588503

That being said, 009 may not apply to standard mail. This was just the only reference I could find from USPS.

Also, Doucette is apparently going to guest star in a music video:

The Legal Front

@Ron Toye is blaming a child by the username "@jordanreapers" as the person who hacked him.
Ron published what he thinks is @jordanreapers's real name and another username he thinks they go by...

It's some little kid who plays Roblox. This lunatic googled "jordanreapers", came across a child's Roblox profile, and then decided he had found his man.

- Rekieta's Amicus Curiae Brief was rejected by the 2nd Court of Appeals due to Rekieta not paying the fee for not being a practicing lawyer in Texas:

Hello again, friends! I hope you all are well!!

Normally I try and share positive things, but today please be sure to extra kind to your friend Nick Rekieta and keep him in your prayers.

He's having an extra hard day today because he didn't read the rules and accidentally did a crime :(

Specifically, his amicus brief was denied because Nick is not licensed to practice in Texas.
